01 / THE IDEA

A few photos.
A more informed next step.

A food label can hold more than one kind of answer. The app is designed to keep the relevant details together.

01

Choose what matters to you.

Set the restrictions you want reviewed and choose your answer language.

02

Capture the whole picture.

Photograph ingredients and allergy statements. Add up to six views when the label wraps around the pack or needs a closer look.

03

Review the finding and its evidence.

See restriction-specific findings alongside original-language quotes, coverage limits, and suggested additional photos.

02 / LOOK INSIDE A REVIEW

The answer is only
part of the picture.

Explore three fictional examples of how findings and limitations belong together. These are illustrations, not live analyses.

What still needs checking

The allergy statement is not shown. Add a photo of that panel to complete the review.

A review describes the submitted label evidence. It cannot certify a product as safe or establish whether cross-contact has occurred.

03 / BUILT WITH CARE

You choose when
a photo is submitted.

Taking a photo in the app does not upload it. Analysis starts after you choose Analyze and accept the applicable processing disclosure.

The app prepares bounded images and removes location and EXIF metadata before submission. Findings stay connected to their evidence, and missing or unreadable text stays visible as a limitation.

04 / GOOD QUESTIONS

A little more
before you explore.

Can I download GlutenScanner today?

The iPhone app is still in development and is not currently available on the App Store. This website introduces the app and provides fictional examples.

Does it tell me whether a food is safe?

No. It reviews what can be read in the submitted label photos and shows relevant findings and limitations. It does not certify food safety, detect contamination, or replace medical advice. An unclear or incomplete label needs further checking.

Does it only look for gluten?

The app supports selecting restrictions for a label review. Gluten is the focus of this website; the review is organized around the restrictions selected in the app.

What about labels in another language?

The app has 20 UI and answer language options, and retains quoted evidence in the original label language. Translation coverage does not establish reading accuracy; language-specific model performance still requires qualification.

Can I upload a label on this website?

This is an informational website. It does not accept photos or perform label analysis. The interactive review examples use fixed fictional text.
