This is the public informational website for GlutenScanner, an iPhone app in development. This page describes the website and gives development context for the app. A deployed app’s processing disclosure and final privacy policy must describe its actual service before public photo analysis becomes available.
What this website does
The website introduces the app and displays fixed fictional label-review examples. It does not accept photos, analyze labels, create accounts, collect restriction profiles, or provide a mailing-list form. Switching examples runs locally in your browser.
Cookies, analytics, and hosting
The website code sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party fonts, or external scripts. It does not write data to browser storage.
The website is hosted on a HostUp VPS and served directly over HTTPS. Cloudflare provides DNS only; its proxy is disabled for this website. Website access logging is disabled in the web server. Hosting and network infrastructure may process ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the site. Website code has no access to your food photos or app scan history.
How the app is designed
Capturing a photo in the iPhone app does not upload it. A submission requires choosing Analyze and accepting the applicable processing disclosure. The app prepares bounded images and removes location and EXIF metadata before submission.
Analysis takes place on a backend service. The disclosure for the configured service must identify the processing provider, what is submitted, and the applicable retention and consent terms. Development testing and public hosted processing have different availability and requirements; public photo processing is not enabled by this website.
The app supports optional local result history without saved label photos. The final app privacy policy and store disclosures still require review against the deployed processing route.
Development and availability
GlutenScanner is not currently offered for public download or public label analysis. This website’s illustrative examples are not accuracy evidence and do not certify any food as safe. The website will need an updated privacy notice if its collection or processing features change.
